With members only category you can create content, categories and products that will be only visible to specific customers after they have logged into their customer account. This means you can specify special VIP customers and have only them access a VIP category on your website.
This feature adds an option inside of each category where you can select which customers can see that particular category in the site navigation. An example of this is if you setup a customer group called VIP customers and selected 50 customers to be in this group. If you then made a new category, such as VIP, and made it visible to only the VIP customer group no visitors will see this category in the navigation. Only the customers in the VIP customer group will see this category in the navigation after they have logged in.
You can also use this feature to create categories or content that is only available to retailers, distributors, or any other types of customers that you may want to show specific categories and content too.
